RUTLEDGE - If there ever was a game where the stats were deceiving it was in Grainger’s game against 7th-ranked Elizabethton Friday night. The Cyclones only out-gained Grainger 299-284 in the game and the Grizzlies, who have struggled on third down all season long, went 7-for-14 against one of the best teams in the state. But the Cyclones came out on top with the one stat that counts more than any other: the final score. Elizabethton remained perfect in district play as they prevailed 49-6 at The Den. The Grizzlies slip to 3-4 and 1-4 in league play. They will play at Unicoi County next Friday night.
