DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - The William A. Irvin has once again transformed into one of the Northland’s spookiest attractions.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Haunted Ship, which organizers expect will draw on average 20,000 visitors.
“We try to have a potpourri of scariness throughout the ship — 690 feet of just terror. It’s a really fun annual event here,” said Lucie Amundsen, communications director for the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center.
More than 50 actors take part in the fright fest, donning costumes and makeup to deliver scares in the ship’s dark passageways.
For performers, the screams and gasps are the ultimate reward.
