Gabe Kemp rushed for two one-yard touchdowns for Red Bank Catholic, No. 9 in the NJ.com Top 20, in its 24-14 win over St. John Vianney in Holmdel.
Danny Breen got the scoring started for St. John Vianney (2-4) with a five-yard rushing touchdown int he first quarter.
St. John Vianney led 7-0 after the first quarter, and the game went into halftime tied 7-7 following a 15-yard touchdown pass from Rahmir Rivera to Jason Berecksy for Red Bank Catholic.
Red Bank Catholic then recorded 17 straight points behind Kemp’s two scores and a 23-yard field goal by Simeon Picinich.
The game’s final score was a 12-yard touchdown pass from Zach LaBarca to Noah Fitzpatrick.
