HINDMAN, Ky. (WYMT) - Prestonsburg had their way once again on Friday, routing Knott County Central, 45-7.

The Blackcats marched down the field on the opening drive of the game, resulting in a 36-yard TD pass from AJ Johnson to Kain Patton.

The Patriots responded with a quick strike from Connor Napier to Michael Gibson for roughly 69 yards out to tie the game. That would end up being the only touchdown for the home team.

Later in the first quarter, Colin Hatfield broke off a huge run, which led to a rushing score from Johnson.

Wesley Hager’s crew ended up scoring 31 more points unanswered after their second touchdown.

Prestonsburg returns home for two straight home games, starting with Floyd Central on Oct. 10.

The Patriots take on Leslie County in Hindman on Oct. 10.
