Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of Wildlife Week, observed annually from October 2 to 8, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Saturday called upon citizens to take collective responsibility for the protection and conservation of the state’s rich wildlife and natural habitats.

In a message shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the Chief Minister highlighted Odisha’s rich biodiversity.

“From the majestic black tigers of Similipal to the Irrawaddy dolphins of Chilika, our state is blessed with nature’s priceless gifts. These natural treasures serve as sanctuaries for many rare species of wildlife,” he said.
