A senior golfer has launched a civil lawsuit against Twin Lakes Golf Club (TLGC), claiming recently adopted rules violate the terms of his lifetime membership.
Barry Arthur Sjolin filed the lawsuit in the Supreme Court of British Columbia on September 25, alleging that TLGC’s new policies unfairly restrict long-standing member privileges. The suit names both the club and director Chris Couzelis as defendants.
Represented by Vancouver-based Wishart Brain and Spine Law, Sjolin argues the changes—effective April 1, 2025—are “oppressive, unfairly prejudicial, and unfairly disregard the rights and reasonable expectations of the lifetime members.”
The claim seeks to prevent TLGC from enforcing new tee time booking policies and other restrictions that allegedly breach a 1984 trust agreement be
