Severe drought in Orleans and Genesee counties; state enacts outdoor burn ban

ALBION — Drought conditions have intensified amid an ongoing lack of rain in the GLOW region and beyond.

All of Orleans County and more than half of Genesee County are now in a severe drought, according to the U.S. Drought Monitor report. Moderate drought conditions have also spread to encompass all of Livingston and Wyoming counties.
