Leh: The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) created history yet again by building the world’s highest motorable road to connect the Mig La Pass in Ladakh. This pass is at an altitude of 19,400 feet.

Through this achievement, BRO’s ‘Project Himank’ surpassed it own Guinness World Record for the highest motorable road at Umling La (19,024 feet). ADVERTISEMENT

The Mig La Pass is part of the Likaru – Mig La – Fukche road alignment in the Leh district. According to BRO, the milestone was achieved on Wednesday when its team led by chief engineer of Project Himank Brig Vishal Srivastava reached Mig La Pass and hoisted the National and BRO flags.
