WVU men's soccer coach Dan Stratford has been all gas, no brakes, since assuming the role as the leader of the Mountaineers in 2020.

The Mountaineers have won 10 or more games in three of Stratford's first five seasons, including a 13-2-7 record and winning the Sun Belt Conference regular season and tournament championships in 2024.

WVU also reached the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive season but was eliminated in the second round by No. 11 Virginia, 2-1.

The Mountaineers, like most teams, did a lot of addition and subtraction this season, with 15 new players on this year's roster.

WVU lost two of its top three goal-scorers from last season in Sergio Ors Navarro (15) and Simon Carlson (four). But the Mountaineers welcomed back goalie Marc Bonnaire, who had 40 saves in 2024.
