Dorothy Mae Purdy Kimbrell, age 89, of Cornelia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at her home.

Born on January 11, 1936, she leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Known for her feisty and sassy spirit, Dorothy was a beacon of joy, beloved by all who knew her.

A devoted family member, she cherished the time spent with her loved ones and had a particular fondness for expressing her creativity through song and dance. Her love for life was evident as she often delighted in sharing moments with her family, especially through Snapchat with her niece, Dinah Johnson and her children April Brown, and Melanie Landers, and niece Julie Murray, and her children, Kassidy Murray and Brett Downing.
