Alabama football looks to avoid another upset when it hosts Vanderbilt in Week 6 with ESPN's "College GameDay" in town.
The Crimson Tide are coming off a huge road win over Georgia in Week 5, and turn around with another big game. Alabama fell to Vanderbilt last season, and is aiming to avoid dropping back-to-back games to the improved Commodores.
Quarterback Diego Pavia has been one of the most dynamic players in college football this season, passing for 1,211 yards with 13 touchdowns to three interceptions, while also rushing for 294 yards with two scores. He's starting to garner Heisman Trophy buzz, and could become the latest Alabama crusher on Saturday, Oct. 4.
Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson has been quite impressive himself, with 1,138 passing yards, 11 touchdowns and no interceptions. He's completing 69.3% of his passes and has an impressive core of receivers, led by Ryan Williams, Germie Bernard and Isaiah Horton.
