LAPD Tactical Teams Shut Down Sunset for Roughly Four Hours Near UCLA
An hours-long search in Westwood ended Thursday night with the arrest of a homicide suspect and the reopening of a busy stretch of Sunset Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Officers took the man into custody on Sunset Boulevard after tracking him through the neighborhood; television news footage showed him restrained on the pavement with visible facial injuries before he was loaded into an ambulance. LAPD told the Daily Bruin at about 8:15 p.m. that the suspect had been apprehended, and traffic resumed on Sunset at the same time. No additional information about the homicide case was immediately released.
