Ruling and opposition parties of Bihar on Saturday (October 4, 2025) demanded Election Commission of India (ECI) to complete the voting in a maximum of one or two phases in the upcoming assembly election in Bihar .

The demand was made during the meeting with Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar, along with Election Commissioners Vivek Joshi and Sukhbir Singh Sandhu.

The delegation of the ECI reached Patna on Friday (October 3, 2025) night for a two-day visit to review poll preparedness for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. On the first day, the ECI met the representatives of twelve recognised political parties, of which six were national parties and six were regional parties.
