A showroom in Glasgow has been torn apart by strong winds from Storm Amy sparking fears of looting for local residents. ‌

The side of the Gorbals building, in the city's Southside, was ripped off at ground floor level around 5pm on October 3 with footage showing one man leaving the building allegedly carrying stolen goods. ‌

A man was spotted entering the exposed property on the corner of Commercial Road and Old Rutherglen Road and leaving with an item, prompting passers-by to suspect a robbery. ‌

Debris also blew on to the road after the incident at the Cottonyards development, getting in the way of passing cars .
