Two hero Royal National Lifeboat Institution ( RNLI ) crews braved violent winds during the height of Storm Amy to try and save an injured person on a yacht.
The crew from Oban were called out after the Tobermory crew struggled to get to the casualty due to their position in shallow waters on October 3.
Both crews rushed to the terrifying incident unfolding at around 8.30pm in winds gusting up to 100 miles an hour with reduced visibility from heavy rain and power cuts on shore.
When they reached the yachtsman who found themselves with a hand injury in trouble on Loch Aline in Morvern, Lochaber they attempted to evacuate them due to the storm but they refused.
