Billionaire Anil Agarwal-led Vedanta , which is in the process of splitting its business into six different listed entities, has reported that its saleable zinc production was up 2 per cent at 2.02 lakh tonne while that of lead and silver were down 29 per cent and 22 per cent at 45,000 tonne and 144 tonne in September quarter.
The company’s aluminium production was up one per cent at 6.17 lakh tonne while alumina output jumped 31 per cent to 6.53 lakh tonne (4.99 lakh tonne).
The zinc production in its international operations were up 38 per cent at 60,000 tonne driven by higher milled tonnes and higher lead grades, said the company.
