Two men suffered fatal gunshot wounds Friday night inside of an apartment in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood on the South Side, Chicago police said.

About 9:30 p.m., officers responded to a call of a person shot in the 900 block of West 85th Street and found a man with gunshot wound to the head inside an apartment, police said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

When officers search the premises of the building they found another man in the alley who was wounded to the torso. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead.

A preliminary investigation revealed both men were wounded inside the apartment, police said.
