A McDonald Borough Police officer shot an individual Friday night, according to Post-Gazette news partner KDKA.

The shooting occurred around 9:30 p.m. in front of Michael’s Tavern in the 300 block of East Lincoln Avenue. The incident led to the person who was shot being taken to an area hospital. Their condition was not known as of Saturday morning. No officers were said to be injured in relation to the incident.

A witness told KDKA that they heard a single gunshot then saw first responders tending to a person lying on the ground

Multiple police departments responded. Pennsylvania State Police troopers from the Washington barracks are investigating.

Messages left with Pennsylvania State Police officials requesting further information were not immediately returned.
