UNION — Both candidates in the New Jersey governor's race had another chance to address voters at an Oct. 3 forum held at Kean University.
Rep. Mikie Sherrill, the Democratic candidate, and former Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli, the Republican candidate, each individually spent about half an hour talking to journalists from PIX11, which sponsored the forum.
While the questions weren’t identical, both candidates spent about 30 minutes talking to Dan Mannarino about affordability, energy and education.
A recent poll from Emerson College put the race at a dead heat but others have given the fourth-term congresswoman an edge, including an eight-point margin from the Quinnipiac poll, an eight-point margin by Fairleigh Dickinson University and a nine-point margin from Rutgers Eagleton.
