HUNTSVILLE, Ala. ( WAFF ) - In just the last three months, three different Alabama families have filed lawsuits against the online gaming platform Roblox.

All of the lawsuits claim that children were groomed by adult predators on the gaming site, which is primarily marketed towards kids. In light of the recent lawsuits, activists are speaking out. Beth Jackson with the National Children’s Advocacy Center told WAFF 48 News that this is a growing issue, especially as more children gain access to technology.

Just last month, two lawsuits were filed in Dale County against Roblox. One 14-year-old girl, who was 11 at the time, claims she was groomed by an adult predator posing as a teenager she met on Roblox. Another 12-year-old in the county claims she was exploited by predators on the site
