SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Notre Dame has been putting up points this season — and a lot of them.

Right now, the Irish rank 11th in the nation averaging 44 points per game.

While their running game has been strong, they’ve also seen increased production in the passing game with one of their best groups of wide receivers they’ve had in a long time.

“I think we’re as deep in the wideouts room as we’ve ever been,” said Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman. “Then it starts with the decision and ball placement by the quarterback, and then those wideouts got to go make a play. We’ve recruited that way. We recruited some guys. We’ve developed some guys. But you’re seeing the confidence and the ability to make those one-on-one contested catches.”
