DEXTER, MI - There’s nothing like rolling out of bed on a Michigan fall Saturday and starting off with cider and doughnuts.

The Dexter Cider Mill is my favorite option in Washtenaw County, as its powdered sugar doughnuts and spiced hot cider have been delighting me for nearly three decades.

The doughnuts has that slight crispy exterior, puffy interior and appleish sugar that bursts with sweetness. The cider warms you up in a brisk autumn morning and washes down the remaining fried goodness.
