PORTLAND, Ore. — A 47-year-old Portland woman, who resisted arrest by brandishing a knife at a federal officer outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention center in the city, will be sentenced in December.
Julie Winters pleaded guilty yesterday to charges of felony intimidation and resisting arrest.
Court documents reveal that Winters swung a large knife back and forth at federal officers when they attempted to arrest her outside the ICE facility on June 24.
After violating the conditions of her pretrial release, Winters reported to the Pretrial Services Office on August 20. She will appear before a U.S. District Court Judge in December for sentencing.
The case was investigated by the FBI, ICE, the Federal Protective Service, and the U.S. Marshals Service.
