SRINAGAR : National Conference president and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah was admitted to hospital on Saturday after developing an abdominal infection earlier this week, party leaders said, as reported by Daily Excelsior. Follow Us On G -N e w s | Whatsapp

The 87-year-old veteran politician, who has been a central figure in Jammu and Kashmir’s political landscape for over five decades, had been unwell for the past several days before being shifted to a private hospital in Srinagar for specialised treatment.

“He was not keeping well for the past few days but his condition is getting better now. He is likely to be discharged later today or tomorrow,” a senior National Conference leader said.
