Construction is underway for the Bass Pro Shops at Riverton, the anchor tenant for a massive $2.5 billion redevelopment project in Middlesex County.

The Riverton redevelopment project in Sayreville — hailed as the largest mixed-use development site in New Jersey’s history — was approved in 2019.

The project plans call for retail, restaurants, office space, hotels, parks, a marina, and 2,000 residential units. T

The property is owned by the Sayreville Economic & Redevelopment Agency.

The Bass Pro Shops will be a cornerstone retail business of the expansive mixed-use development, which aims to transform the waterfront property into a major destination along the Raritan River.
