ENFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — Enfield police say an investigation into a serious motor vehicle crash is underway, with drivers urged to seek alternate routes.

The crash happened Saturday morning at the intersection of Hazard Avenue and west of Middle Road.

Early information from police says that a car struck a pedestrian and then went on to hit a building.

Eastbound traffic on Hazard Ave. is being diverted to Palomba Drive, as the area is currently inaccessible.

Traffic will be impacted for several hours.
