Even as the probe into the tragic stampede in Tamil Nadu's Karur, which claimed 41 lives, continues, Tamil Nadu minister Durai Murugan said the state government will follow the evidence in the case.

When asked if actor-politician and TVK chief Vijay will be arrested, the minister said the M.K. Stalin-led government will not arrest anyone unnecessarily.

"If there is evidence, the government will do its duty," the minister said.
