Fix the MTA now
When are we going to wake up and admit that the MTA is a poorly run agency ( “MTA not fare to commuters,” Oct. 1)?
Management is bordering on incompetent. Prices are raised to cover deficits while the MTA loses almost a billion dollars because of unpaid fares. It takes forever to finish a project, and it’s never completed without a huge cost overrun.
It’s time to end the nonsense: Create a responsible and efficient MTA, and fire the people not doing the job.
