LeBron James, the NBA's all-time leader scorer and entering his record-setting 23rd season, will be eased into the new year and did not suit up for the crowd in Palm Desert. The same is true for Luka Doncic, the new focal point of the Lakers after a blockbuster mid-season trade last year.
