TORONTO - The last time the Yankees faced Blue Jays starter Kevin Gausman was Sept. 5, at Yankee Stadium.

On that night, the veteran right-hander limited the Yankees to one run across eight innings and yielded four hits - one of them a home run by Giancarlo Stanton.

Toronto did not include shortstop Bo Bichette on their ALDS roster. He's been dealing with a left knee sprain since early September, suffered during a play at the plate against the Yankees.

Also, the Blue Jays did not include veteran pitchers Max Scherzer and Chris Bassitt on the roster; Scherzer had pitched to a 9.00 ERA over his last six starts and Bassitt has recently been dealing with a back issue.
