BRIGHAM CITY — Jessica Kjar says she struggles to give her six-year-old son answers as to why his grandmother was suddenly taken away.

“When I told my son, he said, ‘she was my best friend,'” Kjar recalled.

Kjar’s mother-in-law, 65-year-old Angie Kjar was found in the street near the intersection of 850 South and 425 East, in Brigham City, just before 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Police said she later died on the scene from injuries that appear to be from a collision with a vehicle.

Kjar said Angie cherished her time with each of her six grandchildren.

“Her grandkids were everything to her,” Kjar said. “Every soccer game, every graduation, every swim lesson. She was at every single one of them. And that was for all of her grandkids across the board.”
