A violent clash broke out inside Model Jail, Burail, on Friday morning when three inmates allegedly attacked another prisoner with a sharp weapon, leaving him injured.

The victim was identified as Ritivik Bharadwaj, 26, who has been lodged in jail in connection with a firing case.

As per the police, the incident occurred inside the jail dispensary, where Ritivik had gone for a medical check-up accompanied by jail staff.

According to his complaint, as soon as he reached near the main gate of the dispensary, fellow inmates Rajat Tiwari, Sukhwinder Singh, and Sunny intercepted him. Sunny allegedly pulled out a sharp weapon and struck him on the head, causing him to collapse and bleed profusely.
