CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - The Living Branch Ministries hosted the 5th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Event in Capaha Park on Saturday.
Hundreds of people enjoyed entertainment, like bingo and live music.
But Saint Francis Medical Center’s Mobile Wellness Unit also provided mobile mammograms and screenings.
Breast cancer survivors were also given the chance to share their stories.
Cancer advocate, Taylor McIntyre, says the experience is important, “Being able to meet new people, and then they see my story, they’re able to ask questions. I’m glad.”
Food and product vendors were also on hand.
