Sep 15, 2025; Paradise, Nevada, USA; Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers (89) takes the field for warm ups before the game against the Los Angeles Chargers at Allegiant Stadium.

It's been a tough week for the Brocks of the NFL.

San Francisco quarterback Brock Purdy missed the 49ers' win over Los Angeles on "Thursday Night Football" with a toe injury. The other well-known Brock may also be out of action in Week 5.

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers is likely to miss his first game of the season with a knee injury, per multiple reports. This is reportedly the same knee he injured in the Raiders' Week 1 win over the New England Patriots and has bothered him ever since.

This will likely be the first game Bowers has missed in his short NFL career.

Bowers had five catches for a season-high 103 yards in Week 1. He's yet to clear 50 yards receiving in the subsequent three games.

He's unlikely to play which leaves the Raiders thin at tight end. Michael Mayer will be out with a concussion, per reports, forcing the team to elevate Albert Okwuegbunam Jr. from the practice squad.

The Raiders face the Indianapolis Colts on the road this week before returning home to take on the Tennessee Titans in Week 6.

Brock Bowers stats

Bowers set the rookie receptions and receiving yards by a rookie tight end records last year with 112 and 1,194, respectively. His 112 receptions were the most in a single season in Raiders history as well.

Here's how he's done so far in 2025:

  • Targets: 27
  • Catches: 19
  • Receiving yards: 225
  • Touchdowns: 0
