Simon Cowell was forced to miss the opening two days of Britain's Got Talent auditions this week following a head injury, leading to a temporary shake-up of the judging panel.

The seasoned TV producer and talent show judge, 65, sustained a knock to the head which resulted in excruciating pain and a migraine, causing Thursday's auditions to be scrapped.

Friday's auditions proceeded without him, with Stacey Solomon - whom Cowell famously unearthed on The X Factor - filling in as a guest judge as the show filmed in Birmingham.

Cowell made his comeback to the panel on Saturday at Birmingham's Hippodrome, turning up with a visible red mark across his forehead.
