KISSIMMEE, FL — VBS volunteers at First Baptist Church say that their veteran leader of 20 years was taken up into heaven in a chariot of fire during this year's closing program.

According to Associate Pastor Jim Bundrow, Eunice Grimes helped lead First Baptist's VBS program for two decades before being whisked away into heaven by fiery chariots.

"I looked over during the final moments of the program and heard one of our younger volunteers shouting out something about chariots and horsemen of Israel," Bundrow recalls. "The next thing I saw was a spinning whirlwind of flame reaching down from the sky and bringing Eunice up into heaven. We all fell down to our knees in awe, and then she was gone."

According to several other longtime volunteers, Grimes was one of the greats.
