SMITHFIELD, RI -- The Maine Black Bears were looking for their second-straight conference win as they traveled to Rhode Island to play the Bryant University Bulldogs.

On the Black Bears first drive, the offense got a head start on what would be a dominate day, as quarterback Carter Peevy made a throw over the middle to receiver Scott Wood who found space and took it all the way for a 66-yard touchdown.

On Bryant's next possession, the ball was fumbled by their running back and picked up by senior captain Latrell Couchman, setting the Maine offense up inside the redzone.

Peevy then tossed a ball towards the endzone but it was knocked down by Bulldogs cornerback Dorian Helm, and that held he Black Bears to just a field goal.
