2PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Police are investigating a shooting in the city’s 12th District that left one man critically injured early Friday afternoon on the 7300 block of Buist Avenue.

Officers responded around 1:21 p.m. to reports of gunfire and found an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds across his body. The victim was rushed by police to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center , where he remains in critical condition.

Investigators have not determined a motive, and no arrests have been made. The case is being handled by the department’s Shooting Investigation Group , which continues to gather evidence and interview witnesses.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward as the investigation remains active.
