3MANHATTAN, N.Y. – Police are searching for a man accused of attacking a woman during an attempted purse snatching inside the 42nd Street–Times Square subway station late Thursday night.

According to investigators, the incident occurred around 9:45 p.m. on September 25, when a 35-year-old woman was approached from behind in the station’s mezzanine. The unidentified male suspect tried to forcibly pull her purse away, causing her to fall and injure her leg. The man fled empty-handed, escaping on foot out of the station.

The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion and visible tattoos on his body. He was last seen wearing a gray long-sleeved shirt, black pants, black sneakers, and carrying a black backpack.
