Former USC and NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez is in stable condition at a hospital after being stabbed in downtown Indianapolis, authorities said. He was later arrested.

Officers were dispatched about 12:30 a.m. to the 300 block of West Washington Street, in response to a report of a person stabbed, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department reported.

Officers located two victims — one with injuries consistent with stab wounds and another who was injured during physical altercation, FOX59, a Fox News affiliate in Indianapolis reported.

TMZ reported that Sanchez’ was critically injured during the altercation.
