U.S. Marshals arrested one of the suspected members of a “South American Theft Group” who stole more than $100,000 worth of valuables from a Brookline home last year.

A Brookline Police investigation following the March 2024 theft identified four suspects and issued warrants for their arrests.

“The suspects were suspected to be part of a highly organized group of thieves that targeted high-end properties and have been active in Brookline and other communities around the state and around the country,” said Brookline Police Sgt. Robert Disario, who goes by “Sergeant Rob” on BPD social media channels.

Disario announced that U.S. Marshals found one of the suspects and arrested him in Miami, Florida this past week.
