SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
A pedestrian was hit by a car Saturday morning in Sacramento's College Town neighborhood, officials said.
Emergency medical services were dispatched around 1:02 p.m. to Folsom Boulevard and Power Inn Road.
It was unclear what caused the crash. A man riding a scooter was hit by a car and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, according to dispatch radio communications.
The man was in critical condition and the involved vehicle remained on scene, the Sacramento Police Department said. The area was blocked off while an investigation was underway.
