AUSTINTOWN TWP., Ohio - Keeping mental health top of mind is one many goals for the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) of the Mahoning Valley.

One of the ways the group does this is with its annual mental health walk. When walking through Austintown Township park, people are being greeted by friendly faces, sharing how they can help those battling with mental health.

The hope of the walk is to spread awareness of mental health concerns. Michael Nyers, co- executive director for NAMI Mahoning Valley, said mental health is a growing struggle that many are facing.
