EDISTO BEACH, S.C. (WCSC) - The Colleton County Fire Rescue reported that three people were transported to a nearby hospital after a reported fire Saturday afternoon.

Colleton Fire Rescue responded to the incident, where they treated and transported three patients. One was air-evacuated to the Medical University of South Carolina by C.A.R.E. Flight, and the other two patients were transported by ground to MUSC, according to Cpt. K.C. Campbell.

It is unclear what caused the fire and the extent of the patients’ conditions.
