War Secretary Pete Hegseth fired Navy chief of staff Jon Harrison on Friday night, in what is the latest instance of a reshuffling at the Pentagon .

The Pentagon confirmed Harrison’s departure from the high-ranking role in a brief statement to Politico thanking him for his service, which lasted just 10 months.
