Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hadn’t smashed a ball out of the park in six career postseason games.

That changed pretty quickly on Saturday.

During first inning action between the Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Yankees, Guerrero ended his postseason home run futility with a bomb over the fence in left field.

When the 26-year-old returned to the dugout, he was presented with a return of the home run jacket.

The Blue Jays f irst unveiled the home run jacket in 2021. That spurned a trend of home run dugout celebrations around the league. This included the swag chain for the San Diego Padres and the homer hose for the Baltimore Orioles.
