EAST PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- Meadows Avenue Tap hosted a car show Saturday, featuring Rusty Rockers Performance Car Club.

On Oct. 4, Tips for TAPS was held to raise money for the Tazewell Animal Protection Shelter. The venue had live music, food and beverage and vendors offering merchandise for sale.

Rusty Rockers' secretary, Bryce Shields, said that while fundraising for animals specifically was out of their usual wheelhouse, it meant a whole lot to be able to help.

"Usually, we do veteran things. And so being able to do something for animals, which they need, they don't get that as often. It's a little bit different. So much charity happens for veterans that we like to step into a different wheelhouse and help anywhere we can," Shields said.
