SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - CJ Carr threw for two touchdowns and the dynamic running back duo of Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price each rushed for a score as No. 21 Notre Dame defeated Boise State 28-7 on Saturday at Notre Dame Stadium.
The first-ever meeting on the gridiron between the two programs was marred by penalty flags, as both teams had a combined 224 penalty yards on on 24 penalties (Notre Dame had 11 while Boise State had 13).
For the second week in a row, the Irish defense shined as they held the Broncos to one touchdown and intercepted quarterback Maddux Madsen four times.
The Irish improve to 3-2 on the season and will host NC State next Saturday, Oct. 11. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
