PASADENA, Calif. — UCLA had a nightmare start to the season.

The Bruins fired coach DeShuan Foster. Both offensive coordinator Tino Sunseri and defensive coordinator Ikaika Malloe are no longer with the program, as well. UCLA entered Saturday’s matchup against No. 7 Penn State with an 0-4 record and nothing to lose.

Having nothing to lose paid off, as the UCLA students returned to Rose Bowl Stadium following their first week of classes and saw their team collect its first win, as the Bruins shocked the Nittany Lions in a 42-37 upset.
