Iowa QB Mark Gronowski receives signifiant injury update

Iowa senior quarterback Mark Gronowski left last week’s game against Indiana late in the fourth quarter due to an apparent knee injury. However, this setback is not expected to end his season.

CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz reported on Saturday that Gronkowski's injury is not considered long-term or one that will impact his ability to contribute to the season. The Hawkeyes are on a bye this weekend before facing Wisconsin next week. Gronowski was seen favoring his leg after a tackle and did not return to the game. Head coach Kirk Ferentz did not provide an immediate update following the game.
